Rather, several days ago, Toasted Cake bought the audio rights to Your Cities. It’ll be going up at some point in the next month. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you when. Because I’m a giant fiction-podcast-Dork. Also, vain.
Funny story. Your Cities has gotten more rejections since being sold to Apex than it did before. Twice as many, in fact. It, like everything else I’ve sold, didn’t visit many markets before its initial sale. And then it went and visited all the markets. (I’d have sent it to Toasted Cake sooner, but they kept being closed when it was time to send it out) The moral of the story is this: Don’t be sad if your story doesn’t get to travel much and see the world with its first publication rights. There are plenty of other rights for it to travel around with. I think that next, I shall try to sell the “Make me the cream frosting” rights. I take my career goals very seriously, you see.
